I was brought up in a suburb of Manchester in the UK, my Dad was an engineer by trade and an adventurer in his spare time. My mum was a talented racquet sports player so as a kid my passions were split between the mountains and the pitches. I loved to play football and still play as a goalkeeper to this day, I also love to watch Manchester City with my eldest little boy. I have skied since I could walk and am now happy to live just over an hour away from some amazing ski terrain at Mt Hood. Since moving to Oregon nearly 10 years ago I have surfed as many weekends as possible. It is a little challenging in the cold waters of the Pacific North West but with some really nice spots it is amazingly rewarding.

From an early age I was passionate about brands and growing up during the 80’s and watching and playing football it was natural that this passion would become a livelihood. All things shoes and clothing were important and this lead to me getting my first real job at adidas. During my time with the brand I gained deep experiences in sales, marketing, product creation, distribution and brand strategy. I have been fortunate enough to work on a very diverse product portfolio including everything from technical running shoes to fashion lifestyle product. It is no surprise that with my passion for lifestyle sneakers and apparel that when an opportunity came available to lead the Action Sports product marketing teams I jumped at the chance, It was an incredibly successful and rewarding 3 years. I am now entering a new career phase and will be working as a partner for WNTD, a consulting and recruiting company that my wife started 5 years ago. I will be offering brand strategy, product creation, merchandising and distribution expertise. I am particularly enjoy using my global experience and contacts to help brands break into new markets globally and locally.

Life nowadays is amazing with a fantastic wife Claire and two great little boy’s Archie and Leo, They both have memorable birthdays with Archie arriving on 11/11/11 and Leo on 12/31/13, we also have a Siberian Husky and a Black Lab.

I don’t like to think that I am overly materialistic, but don’t try and ever suggest taking away my 1978 VW Bus, or my collection of trainers (Sneakers)!!!
